What are Hedge Row umbrellas made of?
- The frame is 1 1/2 " diameter, choice of wood or aluminum. The umbrella opens to an eight and half foot diameter and stands about 9 feet in height with the finial.
- Our umbrellas are made from Glen Raven Mills solution-dyed, Sunbrella acrylic fabric. See our umbrellas pages for fabric choices.
- All Tassels and fringe are made of Sunbrella yarns.
- The patterns are painted with UV protectant paint.
- A durable, cast iron, black satin finished Base is an optional accessory .
- Each umbrella is accented with a hand-turned Finnial
- Serpentine valances come as standard. Straight valences are available upon request
Will my umbrella match what I see on my computer screen?
The age and calibration of your computer monitor can cause color shifts. To make sure you chose the right umbrella, request actual samples of the colored fabric. (See next question.)

How do I order?
View different fabrics and patterns combinations on our umbrellass pages, and then follow the directions on our order page. You may add the optional lamp or stand to any umbrella.
How does the lighting work?
The optional lamp will provide enough lighting for a dining environment. The bulbs are hidden by a painted underpanel on the inside of the umbrella. This panel may be machine washed and stretched on the frame to dry. The lamp may be installed when you first assemble your umbrella or added later. The lamp is designed for easy removal if you desire to close your umbrella.
You will need a 300-watt low-voltage transformer to power the lamp. Do not attempt to use a standard 110-volt power source. Complete instructions for installation and use come with every lamp.
- Use only 12 volt bulbs.
- Illuminated surfaces will get hot: Never allow the lamp to touch the fabric, or any combustible material.
- Never close umbrella while lamp is still hot.
- Never operate the lamp during the day or with the umbrella closed.
- Never install or remove the lamp while the power is on.
- Lamp must be removed before closing umbrella.
When will my umbrella arrive?
Delivery will take up to 10 business days from the time we receive your payment. Your canopy and frame will arrive in two separate boxes.
How do I care for my umbrella?
Each umbrella comes with assembly instructions.
Our umbrellas are constructed for residential and commercial use, designed for both rain and sun. Of course, always close your umbrella on windy days.
You can remove the canopy and wash it in an industrial machine. Use a small amount of detergent, and no bleach. Replace the damp canopy on the frame to dry.
Can I return my umbrella?
Each umbrella is made to order, so we do not accept returns or offer refunds.
